Yesterday and today were super! We learned about Garrett Morgan and his invention of the stop light! We had a good time using our robots to review specific vocabulary, practicing drawing his portrait on our Osmos, and creating songs with Dash’s xylophone. 🤖 -Mrs. Talley

Our Panther Partners are at it early this morning! Coach Lindsey visited the third grade hallway and Mrs. Courson, former Westside teacher and Coach Lindsey’s preschool teacher, visited kindergarten! It is so awesome seeing such a love for reading in our students and community!

FUMC Panther Partner Cecil McConnell, a chemical engineer, visited Mrs. Shackelford’s class for Career Orientation! He spoke with the students about the changes he has seen in engineering in his 40 years of this career! Mainly he has seen more and more women as engineers! The students were especially interested in the chemicals he works with and his safety gear! Thank you, Mr. McConnell!
FUMC Panther Partners Mr. and Mrs. Heeb visited with Mrs. Langley's and Mrs. Parker's class for Career Orientation! Mr. Heeb, a chemical engineer, and Mrs. Heeb, a cosmetologist and instructor, spoke with the students about the day-to-day operations of their careers!
