MAGNOLIA SCHOOL DISTRICT EXPLORES 12-MONTH CALENDAR
The Magnolia School District is exploring the support of adopting a 12-month calendar. Student’s interaction days will continue to be 178 days. The days would be spread over a longer period of time with more breaks throughout the year.
The District believes that a 12-month calendar could potentially increase student attendance and prevent a loss of learning over a longer summer break. The calendar change may also help with teacher burnout and with teacher retention and recruitment.
The District would like to get feedback from the Magnolia community regarding the change to a 12-month calendar. Please click the link below to take a short survey.
